#41759, "what would be causing this?"

I have two questions. If you have any good answers let me know.

Question 1. I have notice over the last year since i did a port, polish mill on my head that i am slowely lossing coolent. The resevore has to be refilled every 6-8 weeks. I replaced all the gaskets for the head and tightened them to spec. Do i need to re tighten the head bolts or check to make sure they are correct torq. I also notice that i get a little cloud of white smoke when i start the car after it has been sitting for a while. But my car seams to be running great and is getting great gas milage (average 30 mpg)

Question 2. I am also noticing oil that seams to be leaking from the crank (behind the pully). do i need to think about trying to replace the seals their or what.

I am just asking so i can get an idea of what may need to be done and how much time if needed to fix these things. Thanks for any help.

I had this same problem with the coolant. The coolant was mixing with the oil and that was cause my car to smoke also. My problem was fixed by replacing the head gasket. I dunno what to tell you since you just replaced yours, but it looks like it's mixing

It looks like i will need to re-torque the head bolts. I talked to a buddy of mine who is a machanic for my satan dealer here. He said I should be able to fix my collant loss by re torqueing my head bolts. He suspects that i had some expansion with the new metal gasket and new bolts. As for the oil leak behind my UDP. It looks like a the seal/bearing has gone bad. Has anyone ever had to change this seal and what did it take to fix it. Chiltons manual seams to not cover this area.
