Ok heres the deal ... My tranny and CLutch are bad so I need to swap them. I have a 95 talon in my garage (Parts Car) and I am in the process of taking out the tranny and clutch. So I have both CV's out and everything and the Inspection plate on the tranny. Now, I got 2 of the 4 bolts out on the flywheel, but when I went to rotate the crank it only turned a little bit then stoped. I asked my friend about it and he said "Put some ass behind it!" So I did and the bolt turned a couple of times(I was turning to the right)then it just got really easy to turn. It felt like the bolt was just spinning... and I pulled on the bolt and it just came right out? So i was like WTF????? and it won't thread back in!! am i F***ED?? How else can I turn the crank? Or how Else can I get the tranny out now? Please Help!!! Soon... I need to swap it by this satuday. xlordzeusx@earthlink.net

I'm confused?
Why do you need to turn the crank to get the tranny off?
Take off the three engine mounts (front, rear, drivers)
Axles, starter, unhook clutch cables, battery, battery tray, slave cylinder, dust covers and bolts, 6 bolts that hook tranny to block, two plate things on bottom of engine that go from engine to tranny, speed sensor harness, etc, etc, etc,
You can take the tranny off w/o doing anything w/ the crank. You would have to turn the crank to get to the 4 clutch bolts when the tranny and clutch are all hooked up. Once you get the tranny down you can rotate the crank by turning the clutch (bolted to flywheel which is bolted to the crank.

I have never changed a flywheel but i have done the clutch before. To me it sounds like you A.)striped the threads or B.)the person who put it on before you cross threaded it. you can rethread the whole though they have a tool to do it. I would recremend it though b/c if you do it and mess up then you are f****ed. i hope this helped you sorry if it didnt. oh and the quys who replied before are correct about how to take of the tranny. just a little support.
