I was talking to a friend of mine and he told me that on his ECU on his SVT Contour you could pull certain wires to improve performance and i was wondering if anyone knew if we could un plug or remove a wire to allow my automatic to rev past 2500 rpms while power braking. So that i can get a little more jump off the line or am i just going to have to change out the entire ECU?

Matt

I think that you can only rev to 2500 rpm is because of the stall converter. -Sean

If you start power braking and reving past 2500 with the automatic it wont last long. But yes you want a new torque convertor with a higher stall speed, that will get you off the line quicker. Do the final drive gear mod also and get a shift kit from transgo, youll be happy you did, but stop beating on the tranny or it will fly south for the winter
