my friend is really close in bidding on one, but i have no proof as if they are as good as say a top name brand. So should he just save up? or is it all the same?

The pipe is just as good as any other pipe. They may conduct a bit more heat than say an AEM, and the filter is probably not as good. But you have to ask yourself, is the extra 1-2 hp worth the extra 170 bucks??

Have him get it, then buy a used AEM cone filter or K&N cone filter, I see they all the time in the FS section.

I have one that I got off of ebay, and one of my friends has an aem. I think the ones off of ebay are just as good as the aem ones, and a lot cheaper.

You could always put an aem sticker on it. HA HA!

i dunno guys, i dont feel the same pull with my old $40 ebay intake that i do with the my new AEM. it seems to really kick more than my old one did. if i was you dude, i would tell your friend to get an AEM or Injen. i may be biased because of my AEM, but it is a good buy.

i just bought one from procarparts, got i off ebay cheaper. either way its better than the stock pipe, but i also plan to get the jeep TB soon and im having my intake manifold ported/polished to match the TB so i should feel some pretty nice gains after that. at least i hope so

so how do you know that those K&N filter are better than those cheap kragen filters? Have you dyno tested it? I think your just wasting your money on aem and those K&N overated filters. Then again I got a HKS filter emoji but then again I got it on ebay for 30 bux so it's all good emoji

All of a sudden I got a bad idle the other day. I was lookin everywhere to see what it could be. Pulled out my procarparts.com intake..there is the problem. It was rubbing up against the battery so much it created a hole in the actual metal tube. All i know is that the metal material the tube is made out of is garbage. Ive got some duct tape over it now, until I purchase a new one. AEM looks like the way I am going. That silver one piece tube above that someone got off of eBay looks like It has a good fit. I will take a look for that one.

Just a warning, the procarparts.com one is really cheap, and it doesn't fit very good anyway. They give u a bunch of brackets that they don't tell u what to do with.

most "cold air intakes" are all the same. having a K&N on the end of a stock intake pipe fits a lot better than having to deal with brackets and is a lot cheaper than going out and buying something from AEM or off of e-bay. the extra cash isn't really worth the 2 or 3 WHP that you'd get out of an aftermarket intake. although, i'd have to admit that they sound cool and look a lot better under the hood than that ugly stock thing.

if you're looking for a REAL intake, get the one that hahn or star makes. emoji
