#41562, "cold air intake dyno numbers............?"

Alright check this out, I was lookin for the V2 intake and found some dyno numbers for the non turbo eclipse. Is it just me or do the numbers not match up with the feel of the car. I know it might be at the flywheel or crank but check it out.

Im mean come on, 9hp uhhhh feels like 2-3. Scroll down to the eclipse and click the red circle thing, and this is on the version 1.

will post more pics when front is painted

well that is on a car with the only mod being the CAI. it was probably done at around sealevel which would help those numbers. if the surrounding air was could that could help the numbers to.

That is hp at the wheels in those graphs, and I'm pretty sure it was tested on Juan's (2gnt admin) black 96 gs, so those numbers are real.

Well, AEM version 1 CAI was 2.7 hp and 4.9 tq

But then again, that's on a dyno, and CAI's better when a car is really moving.

I'm pretty sure AEM when they do dynos, they try to simulate "real world" conditions (blow a fan at 25 mph with room temp air).

That itself would probably bring hp numbers up by 4-5... so it's not impossible for version 2 to improve that by another hp or so.
