Can somebody give me some guidelines on how to port my intake manifold? What type of tools to use, ect.

You can try a search I know some tips have been posted before.

Summit carries a kit for $40 that has all teh bits you need. You just need a dremel or air grinder and a flex extension. Then smooth everything out match the openings to the gaskets. Skrilla is doing mine so I don't really have any personal experience to give you.
