Just got my car inspected and i JUST passed emissions. The guy said I was putting out way too many hydrocarbons and I was .01 PPM under the limit. He offered to A) pour some stuff in my tank to get rid of water deposits B) Clean my throttle body C) Clean the deposits off the values. All for the low low price of 89.95. I said no.

A) is a Pep Boys product, easy to get.
B) I know I have seen somewhere on this board the proper procedure how to do it. Anybody?
C) He did not go into detail about how he was going to do this. Again anybody got some good ways to do this?

It's a 98 RS with 83500 miles. Runs great and still gets 33-35 MPG highway. Thanks

Just get some injector cleaner and pour that in your gas tank, and you might also want to get some mopar combustion chamber cleaner and spray that into the throttle body which will clean it.

as for the water in the gas line there is stuff from "heet" (I forgot the neam but it removes condensation from the gas line etc..)
If you passed you passed and I wouldnt worry about it.

the stuff made by heet is an dryer for the fuel system, it does do a good job at removing moisture, i was never able to keep more than 10 bottles in stock at my old job, i ordered 50 and by the next time i came to work, it was all almost gone.
