I have a '97 Talon 2.0 and I upgraded to a 2.4 Stratus bottom-end. It is only running off of cylinders 3 and 4, 1 and 2 are fireing at first but then the elect. pulse stops. I can not figure out why these two are not cylinders are not fireing. If anyone can help me figure out what to do I would appreciate it.

Did you rotate the cam angle magnet 90* advanced?

Yeah, make sure that the injectors were advanced by either the cam position sensor's magnet being advanced 90 degrees, or rewiring each injector. Also check that the wiring for the coil pack was modified also. You need to switch wires 1 and 3 for the coils to fire the sparks.

Bill did you start your engine yet ?
According to a Neon owner who swapped a 2.4 with a 2.0 neon head we would need to do both of the 3 operations: the magnet 90 degres AND the injectors rewiring AND the coil pack rewiring

im intereested in other people that are doing the swaps always nice to have somone else to ask when u get problems

95-96 stratus bloc, t2 rods, weisco pistons, black dog solid tensioner and other goodies

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

I have only cranked mine, so far. Rewiring the injectors seems to be more of a luxury then a necessity, as the motor can run being batch fired. I don't think that injector timing is essential, in all honestly, but that the cam position sensor advance is, as the ECU needs to cross reference with the crank angle sensor. Again, I think that the car should start with incorrect injector timing. I will probably rewire them, just to be safe, though.
