My check engine light came on this afternoon out of no where. I got my cat back exhaust put on yesterday...does that have anything to do w/it? I know they put the sensor in it and put it on right, so it seems unrelated. What should i do and do i have to go to the dealership for this problem?

you can go to the local autozone, they check codes for free. then you can see what the problem is and fix it. did u install a new cat or anything? if not, maybe its a bad rear o2 sensor.

do the key dance.

The MIL can be used to produce diagnostic trouble
codes. Quickly turning the key to the RUN position
three times allows the MIL to flash out any existing
flash codes.

so that means on-off-on-off-on within 3 seconds will make it flash.

If you just got the cat-back put on, it's probably the rear o2 sensor thats getting whacky on you. If they wd40 is used to remove the sensor then it will go bad in a hurry. You can install a resistor to elimiate the CEL if that is the problem : http://www2.cesa12.k12.wi.us/brent/personal/neon/pic/cat_resistor.html
