#40262, "proactive clutch and will a neon CM fit?"
anybody know where I can get more info and/or buy a proactive cltch at?
will a neon Clutch Masters clutch work on an eclipse if I change over to either a neon flywheel or do a light weight flywheel? CM has them on there sight for like $550 and all the eclipse/talon ones are like $880 but they include a flywheel (the prices are for stage 3).
Any other ideas would help also I will be spraying atleast a 50-60 street and 75 possibly even 100 on the strip for those extreme needs (to many damn supras running around here).
Sorry for all the clutch questions I am trying to get one ordered soon and having no luck in finding one with a price I like. I have the $ to get CM but I don't want to spend all my cash on just the clutch I got a few other things I want for the tranny before it goes in.

Scotty from S&A Motorsports can still get the Proactive Stage 2 modular clutch, but your cost would be close to that of a Clutchmasters Stage 3 kevlar. If you are trying to save a few bucks, buy the CM stage 3 from "420A" here on the board....he is selling it for a good price. He did not have a turbo on the clutch, so it should last a hella long time.
Otherwise my suggestion is to still buy the southbendclutch.com kevlar modular clutch or you can get a nonmodular one with an aluminum flywheel. If you decide to buy a nonmodular and do not have the cash for an aluminum flywheel, get a neon flywheel from Dan at allmitsubishi.com and have it resurfaced for roughly $40
Do me a favor if you decide to buy a neon flywheel, weigh it(along with your nonmodular clutch) and post the results. I am just curious if a nonmodular setup weighs more than a modular one.....which I think it does.....unless you use lightweight flywheel.

hey guys thanks. its a 94-95 neon that will fit right? Deano I was actualy going to e-mail you tonight about the clutch and possibly putting it into a deep freeze and the cost of that . I am still looking into south bend, do they just have the modular setup or do they carry a nonmodular?. I am back on my all motor kick so I will be using a aluminum flywheel. I will hit up 420a and see maybe I can work a deal with him and have a clutch soon.

southbendclutch has both modular and nonmodular for our cars. modular uses a stock flywheel and nonmodular allows you to buy an aluminum flywheel from them or use your own flywheel.
Just spray it with a 75 shot NX kit......that is money well spent.

hey which 420a is it? I did not see just a 420a member. I finaly got the NX kit here it was sent usps priority and took over a week to get here damn post office. Looks ok but needs "pills" and a few small things. Its going to be a totaly hidden setup hehehe.
He may still have it. I really think $400 plus shipping would be a fair price for a used(CM stage 3) clutch. Kind of like slightly used tires, they lose value quickly after they have been worn even for a few hundred miles. Wholesale is a bit more than $500 for that modular clutch.....so the price above is fair....IMHO If he still wants to sell it.
