im fed up with the bullshit everyone around here gives me. 2 people have told me that i have no oil leak, one place "fixed" my cam position sensor seal and the oil sending unit. they put my car up on racks, ran it at 2500rpm for over 20 mins and no leak. i can hear it sizzle when it drips and hits the exhaust, i smell it, and it leaks so much that when i raise the hood up after i cut the car off, there is like a smoke that comes from the engine. its really pissing me off. i live in lexington ky, so anyone that knows what they are doing, wants to replace the head gasket, or rear main (what i think it is) then ill be happy to pay you. i dont have the know how or the tools to do it myself. thanks guys
Brandon

If it's the rear main seal, oil would form at the bottom of where the motor meets the bellhousing and you probably wouldn't see it any higher than that. You could tell for sure if it is the rear main by pulling off the lower plate that covers the bellhousing at the bottom of where the motor and bellhousing meet (underneath the motor). If you pull that off, the rear main seal is right above it (you can check in about 15 mins). If you can trace the leak from the bottom of the car up, to get the general area of where the problem is occuring, that would be helpful. It may be a simple fix.

when my rear main was leaking, EVERYONE thought it was the head gasket (for some reason?). i guess most of the people at car places are just lazy. anyways, i would do what he ^^^^ said, just take the time to inspect it yourself. ive also heard that theres some kind of dye to put in your oil that lights up when a flourecent bulb is over it, so you can spot the leaks faster. ive never tried it, nor have i ever seen it, but ive heard its out there somwhere. emoji

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

You live in Lexington, I live in Louisville. I'm taking my car up to Lexington this weekend to Horse Power House to have it rebuilt. You should try taking it there, ask for JR. He used to work at the Mitsu dealer so he knows 2gnt's pretty good. The # is 859-225-3142,

hell i live in louisville to. hope to see your car around sometime looks good. end hijack! mine only leaked when i came to a stop from the oil pan. it would leak out and soak the flex pipe, turned out to be a screw backed out. new screw no problem, but every car has it,s own. hope someone can find it if not maybe we can get you down here and get enough people to find it.

and all this time i thought there where only like two people on here from KY, me and the guy with the baby v8 license plate, Im in Bowling Green. I have never meet a person from 2gnt and it would be nice to have a Kentucky meet some time this spring. Not that many 2gnt's down this way, just the turbo models. It would be nice to have some people to help me work on my car in person, its me against the world right now.

One question....Why does it smell so bad when u drive over the river into New Albany. I have wondered about this for years...

dfresh

will post more pics when front is painted

Thanks, no its a blitz kit, I think the lip on the rims makes it look wider. Yeah we'll have to get a KY meet going in the spring. And kyeclipseracer I'm not on LS i haven't had good experences with them.

yeah you have to watch it on there sometimes. i have to bite my tounge alot, ecspecially with some of the kids that start shit. i figure that if i ignore most of the comments then i won't end up hurting someone down the road. the reason NA smells so bad is because they have like 3 sewage plants right on the interstate. we really need to have a meet in KY before 2/19 when i leave for basic.
