well, i put my p&p'd tb in last night, took her for a spin a min ago and all i have to say is DAYUM! all i did was remove the lil hump in the tb with my dremel and polish the hell outta everything, but i feel a world of difference! if its this good, i cant imagine what a jeep tb would be like. ill get one when i have the money. i now i have a CEL for my iac, probably because it got water or shavins down it. couldent get the damn thing off! but oh well, she runs fine for now, ill get another some day. just wanted to share my luck with everone. if you dont have alot of $$$ just do a lil p&p of your own, i didnt even have to make a new throttle plate, just remove the hump. i hit 100 today like never before (back road, no cars). oh, does anyone elses car just kick into action, i swear mine feels like a small turbo just kicks on.

I want to do this but I can't get one of the damn sensors off.. the one with the torx screw holding it on. I don't want to dremel with it on the car, don't feel like rebuilding the head anytime soon.

yeah, i get that turbo feeling, its almost like driving an automatic. I like it!

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

i got an automatic and when u hold ur foot to the floor it shifts like its suposed to but at about 4000rpm it drops like 500rpms then starts pullin again

my cars drivetrain makes a loud 'whining' when it gets into the top of the powerband and sounds alot like a turbo oh yeah.. and she kicks pretty good at 4K rpm when getting into the powerband.

The drop in RPMs is from your torque converter lock up. It's normal.

There is no TB sensor that is held on with a torx screw. They are all held on with snaps. Two of them are a pain in the ass to get off. Just get a small flat head screwdriver and pry away, it'll come off. Try not to break anything.

The connectors for the sensors can be removed by the flathead screwdriver, but to get the actual sensors out of their bores, you need a fairly large Torx bit...

I'm pretty sure it's torx t20 bolts that are holding on the AIC and TPS. You'll want to remove both before grindage, so you can blow the shavings out of the whole thing. If I remember right, it seemed to me as though they put something like loc-tite on those threads when they're assembled. It takes alot of force to break them loose, but then once they're loose they back out easily.
