has ne1 heard of this part b4? It looks like a windage tray to me that thing that keeps the oil from sloshing around in the engine. Does ne1 know if this is worth it?

I'm doing the rebuild soon and since I"ll have the engine out I can plop one of these in. Haha I hope it doesn't hurt performance but how does it increase horsepower? its just a piece of metal.

Part of the oil is spinning around with the crankshaft
It takes power to move that oil
With that "thing" in theory you should have less oil spinning around with the crankshaft, so the engine need less energy to move it
So you have a itsy bitsy tiny winy polka dots bikini gain of maybe 1 hp probably

no, I tried the mopar windage tray for the neon, and it didnt' fit in the oil pan (because of the hump for the downpipe). that thing looks more like a gimmic to me than anything else. I have never heard of a windage tray that didn't go under the crank blades. I wouldn't buy one of those things even if it did fit (it probably does).
