i'm wondering on how to install the cold air intake without the engine check light coming on? anyone got pix of their mods? i wanna see how u guys do it. thanks

installing a cold air intake shouldn't make the CEL come on.

A lot of cars do that because of all the air sensors (my 2000 Celica gets a CEL about once a month due to the CAI). Our cars are relatively simple on the intake system. You can take the intake completely off and you still don't get a CEL.

and to get rid of the CEL, just disconnect the neg terminal on your battery for a few min. If it comes back, there could be something else wrong. Did you check to see what the code is?

maybe you didn't clamp somethign down nice and tight and there is a leak? At least go through and double check that, but you shouldn't get a CEL for just an intake.
