did we ever decide if its not a good thing to have if you have Nitrous or turbo? Doesn't it advance the timing to much to use with either? thanks

I do not have one, but am scared as hell about buying one. If I could buy 96 octane unleaded pump gas, I would be all over it. I cannot afford to be adding 2 gallons of C16 to every tank of fuel that goes into my car.
I also worry about the timing advance before I enter boost. Since I still have a fmu, this is where my car runs the leanest with the most timing advance. I do not want to start knocking because of predetonation. The new ecu also leans out on the top end for more power. I definately do not want that to happen. I can see my egt shooting up already. If I am not running higher octane fuel, I will knock for sure.
I could see if I had a Dis2 and just retarded the amount of advance that was added in the ecu. I thought I read 10 degrees advance. I am not sure at what RPM it starts/stops.
If Howellautomotive would actually post a spec sheet and give us more details, this would help with our decisions. It seems as though Gary has no clue or he chooses to keep the customers in the dark. IMHO
I would just like an ecu that can control large injectors with a 1:1 fuel regulator. I like the higher redline, but want to keep the current fuel/timing maps. They work very well for us turbo guys. The power we get from low boost is outstanding.
My suggestion is to give it more time. Same goes for the TTIracing.com engine management system. Too many questions with very little answers.
