I was woundering if there are any better gears for racing for the manual guys i remember a post a while back but i couldn't find it

u could use the neon sohc gears they are 3.55 instead of 3.94..

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

The 3.55 final drive isn't better for drag racing unless you are making so much power that you have traction issues and need the lower final drive to come off the line better. The stock tranny is a 3.94 and there is a NVG 350 in a certain model Saturn (not sure which one but it was mentioned once on the Howell board) has a 4.12 or so final drive which would be similar to the final drive mod the A/T guys can do except you have to remove and open up the tranny.
