shortblock= everything from the head down. block etc.
longblock= block, head, valve cover etc. its everything...

so shortblock is the bottm end without the head and long block is including the head and everythign else? correct

long blocks "everything" can vary to just the head and it being stripped, to all the electronics and such etc, but remember long block only means head and block not "everyThing"

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
