How do i take off the valve cover? some dumbass that had the car before me used what looks like nail polish and i'm just now getting around to changing it. I bought some engine paint, but i don't know what to start unbolting. Do i need a new gasket if i take it off? And what tork are the bolts supppost to go back to. And any other info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Well while is is in there should he go ahead and replace the noisy lifters with PT cruiser liters and rocker arms??? maybe put some valve springs in too?
