i have a 98 GS, HRC stage 1...my car is currently at buschur racing in ohio being figured out...i have almost no compression in the 4th cylinder...the engine is being taken apart now to see exactly what has happened...
i dont want to spend an arm and a leg on rebuilding b/c i dont have a great deal of money to throw around right now...can you please give me some advice on what to do about a rebuild. what pistons and rods to go with...i want quality...but hopefully not looking to spend over a grand total on this...not including labor obviously...tia

just to add...i just talked to the guy at burschur racing...he said with all the machine work and his labor, hes guessing $2250 me not being familiar with the costs of labor for a rebuild...that seems like an awefulk lot...

GO THERE AND GET YOUR CAR BACK NOW!!!! that shop is filled with a bunch of dicks and your car will never get done! not only that they will rape you on prices for everything. I personaly know 2 people that had to tow there cars out of his lot after a year and still not done. Buschur racing is good at making there own cars fast not others. I am not even sure how you got them to look at your 420a they refuse to work on cars other then the 4g63. To everybody here that thinks buschur is the dsm God try living about an hour from his shop and ask all the local DSM guys what they think about him.
