Well i think my engine is messed up now because when i start to rev it up.. it missfires at 5000 rpms on most gears.. mostly the high gears.. like 4th or 5th. It was never like this until I got my car serviced, Changing timing belt, water pump, spark plugs.. those kind of stuff, and after that, my car was all weak and miss fires and lags.. i mean I lost to a civic on the high way cause my car maxed out at 109 MP emoji! i used to be able to go to 130 mPH! I was thinking of engine swapping into another 420a because of this. I was wondering if any of you guys know anything that might have caused this. I was thinking he timed it wrong or something. but i'm not sure.. it idles at 1100rpm right now on neutral and goes up and down between 1k-1.1k rpm. Thanks

have you checked your plugs and wires? when mine misfired along time ago, i had them looked at by my uncle, (back when i knew jack shit about eclipses) and he said all i need is new plugs. so i changed them and the wires and all was solved.

check:
spark plugs (GAP ESPECIALLY), plug wires, your coil pack (make sure it's re-secured to the valve cover and the connection is tight), also look around the bay for anything loose, missing, or broken. If you have more problems, look into getting a used coil pack from someone to see if it works.
