I have an AT and was wondering if i could put an lightened flywheel in my car. i know they have em for the MT but didnt' know if they had any for the AT. does it matter?

No it doesn’t matter. You have a drive plate in your car that weighs like .5 lbs if that. They put the drive plat in both mt (modular) and at trannies during birth.
Do an AT to MT conversion and you can use a flywheel.

well i've debated doing that and then finally realized that once my turbo kit gets installed, i would loose out on it cause when i would shift, i would loose boost and have to respoil and since i am an auto, i'll have continuous boost and won't have to respoil but i would love to have a manual just to play with . me and my friend weighed it all out and i'm just going to be an auto.

if u wnna beef up an auto call foward motion and level ten and see what u got to work with they have autos with manual gear sets running 750hp so give it a whirl kinda expensive though...
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Trust me spool will be the least of your problems w/ a boosted car. I would say go w/ a level ten tranny if you want to stay automatic other wise go manual. I eat moded automatic gsx/gst 2g's for breakfast. For a street/strip car it is a little more beneficial to be able to take every gear to red line and then slam it to the next gear. On a full WOT pull you wont loose any spool that would hurt you in a race.

there is still alot of debate in my head about if i should go MT or stick to AT cause of the pros and cons of both. plus my GF can't drive a stick and she uses my car sometimes. go figure. i can always teach here but with the HP i am hoping to dish out, i think she'll kill tires before she moves from a stop.

go witha manual overdrive tranny from level ten or forward motion they are almost bullet proof pricey though, 900$ f tqconverter and 1400$ for tranny, with 200$ refund if u send in your tranny, from forward motion last i checked into it,
