I was having this weird thing going on with my clutch. When i first get the car moving on a ngcold morning, especially when starting out going up a hill, the clutch seems to chatter. After the first time, it doesnt come back, even if im trying to start on a hill. Does anyone know if this is an indication of a failing clutch or if it could be something else? The car has 61k miles on it. Thanks alot.

somone could have burnt the clutch so its no longer even aka perfect, the fly wheel could be smoked or be warped in some way that when it is engaged it chatters, or the throw out bearing is failing, hard to say, where does the clutch engage vers pedal movment?
does it slip at all?

the clutch chatters only on the first start when starting going up a hill. Once the car warms up, it quits chattering. the clutch grabs about 2/3 through its travel. I doubt its a burnt disc because ive been the only one driving it.

Have you done the clutch restrictor mod? The clutch just sounds a bit grabby (is that a word?) when cold. I imagine that and slushy mounts could create that and your clutch probably slips a little easier when warmed. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as it happens rarely. IMO
I'm having a similar problem but with a new CM stage4. Chatter nearly all the time. Also very wimpy pedal effort and the release is not until the last half inch of travel. "Professionally" installed , fluid was on the low side when I got the car back. Should it have been bled? Am a new member to this incredible club, so if I've offended anyone, its not intentional.Any input would be greatly appreciated .
bleed the clutch line a ceramic disk is always gonna chatter even the disks that ill have out wont be chatter proof its like slapping two hard peices of a metal compount together it creates noise,
mounts could be a problem i suspect throw out bearing wear or warped disk of some sort leaning towards throw out bearing wear,
