#38298, "SAFC w/o turbo?"

I am turbo'ing my car no later than May, probably sooner. I was wondering if the APEXi S-afc would work on the car without it being turbo? I mean, I would mount it and hook it up then maybe a month or two later I would be installing the turbo.

That will be OK. Actually, you could probably lean out the fuel system a tad bit with it, since the 420A typically runs on the richer side anyway.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm trying to gather up the parts that I will need that do not come with the turbo kit because I'm trying to get some of those as Christmas presents maybe, lol.

A nice boost controller would be nice or turbo timer. Exhaust if you don't have one already. Some nice gauges ex. Boost, EGT, A/F. Any of those things would be nice gifts.

If you're going to get a boost controller, make sure you ask for forged internals too for Christmas emoji Lots of us have learned the HARD way. It's a temptation most of us couldn't resist emoji

here u go,

yea u can run a sfc without turbo lean it out a bit cause your rich stock and make like 8more hp

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

Clearing the memory would probly not be benificial to you...just set it at 0. If you clear it you will have to re-program it again....why do that??
