#37948, "intake backfire, need help"

everytime I'm getting on it with my new intake (aem cai) as well as my old short ram, I'd shift into 2nd and hear BANG! come from my intake, I thought it was just my old intake being loud but my new one's doing it, I have new plugs and wires NGK BKR5E-11's and Magnecore 8.5's, do I need to mess with my timing?

Intake backfire generally means a lean condition. Look at fuel. Possibly a crank sensor or cam sensor (just a hunch)?

you'll prob need a by-pass valve or breather installed on your intake.

you'll have to bring it up to ARD.. and we'll figure it out. and are you sure its a backfire and not something clanging around in the engine bay. perhaps i may have something to do in relation to your gutted cat or a clogged fuel filter or something. i have never gotten any sort of backfire on my car, but hopefully we can get it figured out and fixed.
