for normally asperated cars, eliminating the cat really doesn't help that much at all. high flow cats can be expensive if you're on a budget, but if you really want to do it, get a test pipe. i found mine on ebay for about $30. hollowing out the stock cat can make the car sound like ass, because you have to push air into and out of a chamber insetad of a nicer flowing pipe.

>Yeah, you'll get that Honduh bumble bee sound.
no you won't. as long as you have a good sounding muff, it will sound good. i have had mine gutted almost as long as i have had my car, i think it made it sound better. it sure as fuck didn't make it sound like a honda.

I cant give you info on a NA w/ a testpipe. On My 98 AT w/ a Star kit... it just well... ownz. The turbo feels like it spools up relly fast and I hardly notice the torque lost... the extra spooling makes up for that. I canget to 1psi instantly and will hit 5 before the 3k mark that I use to hit it at. Over all Its great, I was affraid that it would be too loud, but the turbo muffles it. My friend who owsn a civic said it would sound like crap, but now he just druels all over the sweet low rumble.
