Pls tell me how much I should expect spend on the mod too!

Thanks in advance.

I think it says that you are an auto in your sig so I would buy the final drive gears. I am auto also and wanting to do the final drive mod because most of the auto's that are not turbo consistantly run in the 17's. This mod is supposed to help out ALOT. As far as the price goes it all depends on where you get the gears from.

will post more pics when front is painted

Well, you asked emoji

If I were you I would do for powr mods (in this order):

A cold air AEM setup (no use sucking in hot air all the time)

Final drive mod (it has met with favorable reviews)

Ported/polished intake manifold

After that, then consider cams/turbo/whatever (you want the right cams for aturbo setup if that is in your future)

AND...

While you're at it, might as well do brake upgrades too emoji rotors and pads should work nicely, if you need/want more then bigger brakes (GSX calipers or AEM big brakes if you have money to burn). Better brakes are always good emoji

i have doubts that there is much difference between the short and the cold air intake.. is there really? i will consider getting a used one.

i have thought about the final drive mod. got a couple of questions. how much will more will i be spending on gas ( i do not race, my car is a daily driver) ... how does it affect drivability? does the gear shift like it was an accord? hehehehe... i have owned a 92 honda accord and it stutter shifts. you guys know what i mean?

from what i have read here, headers are not worth the time of day... i thought about getting the cheap pacesetters..but everybody seems to agree they look like sh*t after a while. i am not sure i want that in my engine bay. i like the bosal but it's way too much money for me. i wish i can go turbo..but i am not willing to spend the money on that either. wish i can keep the car after it is paid for but chances are i will sell it to a worthy soul... maybe i'll get a 350z.

i will be looking for gsx rotors and calipers (what years?)

btw, the throttle body feels great. i can feel that it is torquier. also since i am AT, i noticed that the car stays on the lower gears longer before shifting... anybody else agree?

thanks for all your help guys. i do appreciate your input. so please keep posting.

Get that transmission to shift more positively.
I just ordered the transgo shift kit $18.0 emoji(Translab doesn't sell one for our cars, boohoo),then work on more power. IMO

maybe mcgyvr has done his kit by now and has some suggestions.

as for the final drice mod's effects, they are not bad. Peole here said the only lost 1.5 mi/gal. And it won't affect the trann at all. It just changes the ratio of teeth in the gears.

Don't worry about the shifting.... 100% not affected. And if you're worried about gas, go ahead and do it because it is not bad at all. I'll be doing it soon too.

MODS:

HRC 16g turbo kit, Spearco custom FMIC, Custom IC piping, VT rebuilt engine: Custom 8.8:1 compression CP pistons, Eagle connecting rods, Melling oil pump, Clevite bearings, 370cc injectors, Vortech S-FMU, Apexi N-1 catback exhaust, AFX UDP, Autometer boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, EGT gauge, Corbin's digital A/F gauge, Tokico Blue shocks, Tein springs (1.5" drop), 18" Konig Verdicts rims, VIS stock-style Carbon fiber hood

I suggest the Final drive gears. You will love them. Thats shit just pulls so much better. I also think you should have your intake mani P&P done. I don't think a header is a bad idea if you can find one at a decent price. If you don't want turbo you could always get nitrous. If you change your cams I suggest getting new lifters and valve springs along with cam gears. A S-AFC could help youfine tune some thing also.
Just thought I'd add a little.
Good luck!
