I had one of those ebay short rams that i was using. Actually it was the second one cause the first one broke. It was cheaper to buy a new one with the filter than fix the old one. Anyway, I took a hacksaw to the broken short ram and added a piece of it to my existing short ram intake. Now the filter ends up down around where the bumper and splash guard are. It's like right below the old filter box. I like it and it looks pretty cool, but, of course now i'm all worried about water and shit. I assume that splash guard does a pretty good job of keeping water out of that area. I hope so anyway.
