let me say all the people that said this swap isn't worth it or shouldn't be done can kiss my ass!!! this is indeed my time and money well spent. it's a lot of hard work but at the end it was all worth it. everything that has been discussed on accomplishing this swap on all these previous posts helped me a lot. overall on parts i spent:

95 Tranny w/ motormounts- $400
clutch master cylinder(new)
clutch pedal
shift stick bracket
from a GST---all for $125
shifter cables bought new from tallahassee mitsubishi-$75
modular clutchmaster stage4 clutch- $650
tranny comp-$125

pretty much that's it, i love my car even more and i never knew how much of a difference in power it is. i'll keep you updated i'm excited as hell with it! peace out!

did you have to give up ur AT as a core or anything?

well i still have my AT tranny, i'm going to try to sell it to one of these salvage yards. i got the MT one from a salvage yard around here in miami. it's pretty much everywhere around here, but most were selling them around $600 and i was like i know i'll find one cheaper, the place i found it from they told me it's off of a 95' eclipse with only 10,000 miles on it. so i figured damn that's not that bad of abuse. the sychronizers should be very good at that mileage. anyway i've been driving my car for the last 2 days, and i'm very happy with this swap. the shifting is real smooth and no clutch problems. my car fells like it's lighter, and i rev a little quicker. right now i'm not boosting till after 500 miles. then i'll give you an update after.
dammnit i'm like so psyched to race, i see all these punks that try me to race and i'm like don't worry gimme a few more hundred miles. especially against this rx-7 guy around here. peace out!

So this was a tranny swap from AT to MT both for the NT? If so, I guess you also needed the shift assembly and pedal assembly? Also, if you can find another low mileage 5 Speed tranny for that price, please let me know. I live in Orlando so a trip down to Miami for that price isn't a big deal.

Also, did you happen to document the whole process and/or take pictures? That would be a huge help... if not, when I perform my swap everyone can expect a complete VFAQ...

yeah that's everything, just go with what Armond's write up on hooking up the reverse lights and tachometer hook up off the AT wire harness. sorry guys i didn't do a write up 'cause i was in a rush of my little time, and that i don't have a digital camera handy. but if you're famliar in taking off and putting on a transmission, it's not that hard, the difficult part was putting on the clutch master cylinder on the firewall with the clutch pedal, i had to cut a hole through the firewall to make it work and reroute all my wires through another hole.

Hey dark reality i dont know if you looked at the parts list i put up a few threads ago but i listed a lot of stuff that i had to buy like the trans bracket and clutch lines. But all in all when i did the swap i was like money well spent, and your rite the car do feel lighter and quicker, and the 4g63 gear shifetr has a shorter throw than the 420a, cause ive got a 99gs wich came 5speed, and the other 99 i did the swap, and the shifter i got from a gst has a shorter throw, and feels better than the 420a.

oh that's right the brake lines, oh i got those for free since i work at discount auto parts but yeah i forgot to include that. that was an easy installation. the motormount bracket came with the transmission when i bought it. but they cost like $65 at tallahasse mitsubishi. so far everything is still great, i peel and chirp my tires like crazy, especially that i got Z-rated tires with good traction. just 255 miles to go for my first race.
