about how much do you think a shop would charge me to install the gears?


98 esi A/t:
injen intake
n1 muffler
white gauges
17' adr sokodu's
coilovers 1.75' drop
obx front strut bar
3 stage metal headgasket
(should of rebuilt bottem when this was done but I'm stupid)

I did it in under 45 mins. it sounds worse to do than it really is. the only hard part is getting the large bolts loose.
If you know ANYTHING about working on cars, I suggest doing this yourself.

BTW unless you have an extensive set of tools, you would probably spend half of what you would pay someone on those large sockets.

I'm kinda in the same boat....not sure if I want to buy the extra tools....also the work space is an issue for me as well. I hafta borrow my brother's garage to do oil changes and stuff.

I've been calling around local tranny shops- I'll let you know what I'm quoted.

You don't have to buy any more tools. You can rent the puller and the socket from autozone and you get all of your money back. I think it's 15 for the puller and 15 for the socket.
