Whenever I'm in gear and running in lower rpm ranges (like 1500-2500) and I start giving it a good amount of gas...it kinda jerks like 3-4 times before accelerating like it should. An example of what I mean by jerking is like when you take your foot off of the gas pedal and then give it a quick push and release. Any suggestions of what it could be....spark plugs, fuel injector, tranny??? TIA

Keepin it clean!!

I've got the samething happening to me but on my side you can here the exhuast start popping a few times then it would finally go and drives normal. It starts from a stand still then after around 2500 rpms its fine. My friend that works on hondas said its a bad fuel filter it seem like that to me I do have a bad battery though. What type of battery should I get to replace my stock battery? Well back to the main problem "whats going on" ?

Usually when you get a jerky type hesitation, it's probably an ignition issue (unless you have a turbo kit, but that's a different subject). Make sure your spark plug is clean and gapped correctly. If you have a handheld meter, you could check the resistance of the spark plug wires. If those are good, then check the coil pack.

lots of people told me fuel filter. I changed mine. nothing. So, I got a code reader. The coil had died. I changed my wires and plugs too tho. The old wires had been arcing. Check to see that all your wires are pushed down to click. Check plug wells for excess oil. A valve cover gasket/spark plug grommet leak can cause this as well, b/c it drowns the spark at times. More than likely, above is correct and it will be ignition related.

I replaced the old plugs and wires with new ones and my car drives just like new. I also got a ignition coil I'm going to put on, but the part where you connect the main power wire didn't fit so I'm going to find a replacement for that connecter.
