I just got my car a few months ago and it burns oil like a mofo, and i can't figure it out because it's a 98 and there are no apparent leaks. I haven't ever worked on eclipses before i had a jeep prior to this, but how do i change the oil on it. I know that's a completely newbie question but the temperatures are dropping and i want to know what kind of oil i should use for cold conditions and where the drain plug is etc. and how much oil i put in. I don't have a manual for my car but i'm a 98 rs 5spd. Thanks alot

The plug in on the back passenger hand side of the oil pan. It's 11/16". The oil filter is behind the oil pan. Put 1/2 qt. in the filter and fill the crankcase w/ 4qts.
