i have an automatic and when the car gets above 5,000 rpms, it makes like a screeching sound. someone told me that it was the transmission and that i need to get it replaced. if it is the transmission, would it be better for me to get it changed to a manual now?

Depends what you mean by screeching noise. I know these 2GNT's are notorious for when you are in high RPM's in the auto something in the dash/engine bay or somewhere in between makes a really annoying rattle. My car has always had it and have been told by many its normal.

Is it a real quick vibration or a screech? If its the vibration then I'm 99% sure its normal (at least on mine emoji )
