I am an idiot. I was cleaning the TB with TB cleaner and all of a sudden the straw from the bottle shot in there. THIS SUCKS ROYALLY. The car was off but it's in there. I tried using a vac to take it out but its not working. Any ideas? Should i just take the TB off? I think this will be the only way i cant even see it with a flash light. Any write ups on taking it off? please any imput will help. TIA!

The TB is only held on by 2- 12mm bolts. One on the upper left and corner and one on the lower right. You dont even need to undo the throttle cable if you just move it to the side. You may need to unhook the TPS and IAC harnesses though. Since the car was off and the straw was horizontal I'm sure it's just laying in the upper plenum. You're just lucky that the car was off. In your car this isn't really a big deal. Don't worry.

I would take the upper plenum off if I were you. You can see where it connects to the lower plenum. In that spot underneath there are 5-10mm bolts holding the 2 together. The first bolt on the end is toward the firewall, then the second is towards the engine, third towards the firewall, etc... You should be able to get all of those bolts out from the engine bay w/ out going under the car. Once again you should be able to leave everything unhooked and just move it out of the way a bit. If you STILL can't see it then stick the skinny hookup of a vacuum cleaner down in each runner. The furthest it could have gotten is to where the head to lower plenum meet.

Yes those are the ones. Just use a ratchet w/ an extension and feel around. They really aren't hard once you figure out how to do one. But if you still can't do it then you can get the car on ramps or jackstands and do it from underneath. That way you are looking up at them and there's no way that you can miss them so it may be eaiser for you that way. It's just a PITA to get the car in the air IMO.

Alright, i got it all off.... what a pain in the ass to get the bolts on the engine side. After I unbolted everything there it was, I grabed the straw and started yelling at it as my neighbor was walking by. I cleaning that thing so well now that i have it off. While im at it should i just remove the lower plenum and clean that also ? Actually ill probably go ahead and do that. Thanks for your help dude. The next mission is getting it all back on i think its gonna be a little tougher, but you gotta do what you gotta do. emoji

leave the loser plenum on, its twice as hard to yank off, imo... hit up a dodge dealer, and get a new gasket for the sandwich of the intake mani's, and a t/b gasket... if you idle is a lil off u may have a leak.....

I hear you on that one - when I cleaned my TB it looked like one of my old bongs from high school - just caked!

I haven't noticed a difference since I cleaned it, I guess its just peace of mind that you know it's clean and that won't be the cause of any future problems (for a little while at least)

yeah the egr tube is almost cloged all the way. I'd say about 80 % cloged. I'm guessing i should clean that. Maybe i should leave it as my EGR blockoff emoji
