#36674, "special of the month: extreme motorsports (wires, plugs, other goodies)"

Here's the latest special on extreme motorsports:

A new set of Magnecor 8.5mm spark plug wires. High-quality wires that will often cure a ton of ignition-related ills.
A set of 4 NGK BPR7ES copper plugs. These are great for medium to high performance cars.
A can of BG's MOA oil additive. Use one can of this per oil change, and guarantee no thickening of your oil on cold winter days.
A can of BG's 44K fuel system cleaner. A can of this will clean out your entire fuel system, including the fuel lines and injectors.
A K&N Filter cleaning kit. This spray is used to clean out any open-air filter to remove the grime that accumulates over time.

110 bucks.

Well, 2 of the items, the plugs and wires, are useless for our car. The 7es plugs are COLD. alright if you are FI or nitrous, but cold. And the wires are not the same between the 420a and the 4G63, so they won't work either. I would just get the cleaning kit and additives elsewhere seperately.

But you have the magnecores in your car.. i don't understand why you're saying they are useless? Unless you're sayin that they aren't worth the price?

And, if you click on the link, they have a package for NA cars.. i'd hope extreme motorsports would know the difference. emoji

But what about the other stuff? Just wondering about how good the other stuff is or if anyone has tried using it.

Not that I think this special is still available.. just read it in greater detail.. think it ended in october.

~$60

The three items that I know prices for total $75. Even if these parts were for our car, I'm not sure it'd be much of a deal.

Magnecores aren't worth it. I got mine because my stock wires were failing. Instead of buying a set of overpriced stock wires, I bought a set of overpriced upgraded wires. emoji I have a bunch of friends who have had some bad experiences with Extreme. In fact, he post monthly to the local DSM club list with an "I Hate Extreme" e-mail. Kinda funny. emoji I have had no dealings with Extreme, but this doesn't seem like tooooo good of a deal. I don't know though...

i'll have to second the fact that extreme isn't a great company. I've actually been there and person, and they 1) had very little idea about the non turbo eclipses and 2) seemed to look down at me for having one.

I just thought i'd ask about the deal, so thanks!

My stock wires were replaced at 60k during the service anyway... but pickin up plugs would be a good idea?

I do plugs at every oil change, which is at every 2000 miles. Yup, I am anal. But I don't have ignition problems anymore. Ever.
