#3667, "another afx pulley question"

okay here's another question about the afx pulley. The stock pulley is truly big heavy and ugly, but it has a vibration damper in it.(the rubber ring). okay i want the AFX pulley, but it is solid. This rubber ring on the OEM pulley reduces axial, torsional and other forces introduced into the crankshaft. it also minimizes the shock to the crankshaft due to the accessories turning on and off, namely the A/C compressor. i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their afx pully causing unwanted stress on the engine because being an engineer myself i believe they would not design this vibration damping ring into the crankshaft pulley if it was not necessary to the durability and longevity of the engine. i do believe that the underdrive pulley is a very smart way to gain horsepower, but it would make me feel alot better if someone designed one with a vibration damper into it. anyone have any info on this topic, or any experiences with the pulley that would change my mind

Rest In Peace Heidi Doggy
