#36655, "Jeep TB Sound.."

Just wondering...
Can anyone record and post a copy of how their car sounds with the Jeep TB?
Maybe have the admins put it on the main site?
Thanks

~Tacoman

probably just got a nice loud suck/whoosh sound from it (especially with a modified intake). I know when I put my AF/X bored tb on my 420a and an AF/X intake at the same time, that thing got pretty loud and had a very loud suck/whoosh sound when ya stomped on the gas from an idle.

what's funny is my zx2 makes those noises from the factory.. hehe. and now that I modified the intake, the stock TB makes it pretty loudly.

I could probably record the sound for my zx2 if ya want, I doubt the jeep tb on an eclipse would sound much different.

if you are talking about the sound file.. well, I haven't recorded one, I was offering that I probably could so you could see what it 'might' sound like. now I just gotta figure out how I can record the sound onto my computer. it'd be really easy if my laptop was working...

Damn, ok...it whistles at certain throttle positions. I got under the hood to figure out where the whistle is coming from - it's coming from my air filter. If you look real close at my sig pic, there is a metal screen on the very end of my air filter. When you stomp on the gas the, it sucks in so hard that the screen makes a whistling noise. If you're going down the road, at certain speeds you can sustain the whistle on down the road.

I think I really need to get a new air filter - one that flows a bit better....but it is an interesting sound. I've turned some heads with it already. Probably get the same effect from any 60mm TB on our car. I don't have any way to record it an put it online right now. I'll work on that and post somthing if I can.
