My car just came back from the shop today, and right off i noticed that it had a rough idle, ive never heard my car do this before. It sounds like the car is camming, or loping. The car just doesnt seem like it has any power and just wants to hold back. When i get over 4 g's on the tach the car is fine. Would this be the cause of a bad iac? I know this has to be air related, but im not getting a cel? any help??

I know nothing about cars. But this used to happen to me. It just went away. I could swear it was a bad throttle-position sensor and it wasnt sensing the throttle plate closed so it couldnt idle right. That or a bad IAC. Well, thats all I know.

Someone else will have to help your better with this, but I believe the place in the throttle body where the throttle position sensor reads the position of the throttle plate actually can be cleaned and it may be the problem. Look into that. Also, the wire-outpit thingy to the sensor is located right there on the throttle body on the firewall side so you can test it to see if its sending current. Youll need to read a manual, but I believe when the plate opens the TPS sends more current and vice versa. So if its not doing that then either its dirty, out of position, or dead.
Of course theres the ISC but I know nothing about that.
