I saw in the Summit Racing Catalog that they are selling sets of 4 rods for $675. Do you guys know of anybody else that is cheaper, because really that seems like a pretty good price. Also while I'm thinking about it, does JE send rings with their pistons or are they sold seperately for those of you that have JE Pistons?
Thanks for any replies. My motor rebuild is coming up here in about 8 months and I'm trying to get everything in order so it goes as smoothly as possible.}>

I've already decided on Crower Rods. I dont know anything about Eagle Rods. I know I want the Crowers becaue they are beefy as hell, and I want that kind of hardware in my motor. Especially under the stress of road racing. As well as piece of mind.

I believe that this was said in a different post but if you question the strength of Eagle rods, go contact JoJo Callos and ask how he likes them in the Castrol\Integra drag car.

hahaha well jojo callos doesnt run rods that everyone can get i'm sure. As for the price of the crowers Yes that is a good price. As long as that is total. I needed my rods in 2 days and ended up getting them from hahn.I think i got them for 700$ next day air. They buy about 10 out of every 25 sets made. It really sucks with summit jegs and all the other rod builders out there. The only thing i can tell you is send a certified check and make sure when you order that they (salesperson) can physically put there hands on the rods. Other wise they take your money and then they tell you they are being made(huge problem). I guess the main reason people buy the eagle rods is the price I was able to sell a set for 315$ and the other big deal is that they are in stock all the time. As far as strenght? Yes the crowers are beefier. As far as astrenght comparison? I dont know what to tell you.
As far as the je's go I picked up the 20 overs for 550$ with rings, pins, and pinlocks
hope this helped later mike

Thanks. I dont doubt the Eagle rods quality. I just know that the Crowers are about as good as it gets. I plan on keeping my car a long time, and want some hard core, heavy duty shit in the motor. So thanks alot guys. Now do you remember wher you got the package on the JE pistons?
