#36028, "Aftermarket alternator?"

Does anyone know a company that makes aftermarket alternators for our cars? I want a more powerful one for all my stereo stuff. Any ideas?

I have heard nothing but praise about the Ohio Generator alternators. They custom build each one to high current outputs. They should make one for our cars. I dont know if they are on the web, but I know i can dig up some more info from one of my old CA&E mags...

i got this one about 6 weeks ago:

http://www.4alterstart.com/pages/store/skudetail.nhtml?profile=highoutputalternators&uid=10662&catuid=10013&returnURL=http%3A//www.4alterstart.com/highoutputalternators

its great, and only costs a little more that the OEM alternator. i have roughly 1500 watts in my system, and my lights only dim slightly.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

power master is supposed to be working one one for us. I'll check with them and see how it is coming. I might even get to test the prototype, so i'll let ya know.

The problem with a bat cap is that for USACi competition it counts like a battery so it has to be isolated and vented and shit. So that is too much work, plus I don't get the 3 points I am going for here.

I bought one from 4alterstart yesterday, and it shipped the same day!!! I should get it today. Damn that was fast.
