I have an aem short ram intake and everyday i wish i had gotten the cold air. I was wondering if anyone has made a heat shield or anything to stop sucking in all that engine heat. I have some of that dryer hose stuff the big silver stuff that opens like a slinky, well i ran that from that corner cut out in the bumper up to my intake so that it would somewhat recieve the cold air but no such luck. Anyone rigged anything up worth telling about? Thanks alot

HEat shield??? what good could it be if the intake stills so close to the engine try making some kind of ext and make it a cai

you can make an extension from homedepot w/about 20bux, and a cuple hours and an imagination...just use abs piping, not pvc...

heat sheild will benefit you..

colder air=denser air

more dense air burns better/stronger...

yep home depot CAI is the best bwahahaha. You can wrap the intake with aluminum foil haha. Or get dryer hoses and route them toward the filter. But home depot CAI is the best and don't use PVC hehe use ABS.
