I wanna buy some gauges for my clipse, but are they universal? And is it worth paying for the autometer brand? All I want are some simple oil pressure and temp gauges, but I found some no brand ones for alot cheaper.

Yes, most gauges are universal. Autometer is a proven brand of gauge, and really, they are not very expensive condidering what you get for the price. Yes, there are cheaper ones out there, but how accurate are they? You usually get what you pay for, and when it comes to accurate gauges, whats the point of even having them if they are not revealing correct info? Autometer isnt the best of the best, but for the most part, are very accurate, and even affordable for a street driven car. Most trust Autometer, thats why i chose them. A inacurate gauge on my car could mean a blown engine. A good gauge is worth every penny IMO.

I also like the Autometer gauges. If you don't want to spend the extra money, just buy the basic SportComp gauges. They don't cost much more than other name brands. If the Autometer gauges is still a little pricey for you, then the VDO (these are used in many factory German performance cars) gauges are pretty good, too.
