#35725, "Where should I get Energy Suspension Engine Mount Inserts?"

Talked to mechanic for about an hour today,, turns out the stock engine mount inserts are badly cracked, so I'd like to upgrade to some denser poly mounts. Heard the ones from Energy Suspension = exist for our cars/are good... Question is: where do I get them?

Checked several places w/ no luck... Only place I've seen anything resembling them = MachV, but they're brandless..and cost $90!

I looked at my motor mount inserts,, the ones on the sides=cyllindrical, about an inch thick, 2-3 inches wide... doesnt look at all like either the auction or the ones on summit... is this just bc theyre not the ones actually pictured?

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

The ones on that ebay auction and the ones on summit are for the front and rear motor mounts. I got my ES inserts from Summit. They help reduce wheel hop and in general let you put more torque to the launch. These are generally what 2gnt people are talking about when they talk about inserts. They're not replacement bushings, they just insert over top of the existing ones. That may be why they look a little wierd.

You shouldn't have to worry about the side mounts unless they're broken or severely worn. I don't know if ES makes the side mount inserts. They do make a chassis kit for our car, but it doesn't look like it includes the side motor mounts.

Yeah i went with summit,, decided not to cancel it even tho the second place would save me $6.. shrug...

the side mounts are... okay at best... one of the cracks = straight through, back looks fine, right i haven't seen up close...

low on $$ so replacement bushings will probably have to be from the junkyard
