Quite a big difference. Noticable improvement in power, pretty much through the whole range. There seems to be an especially great improvement in the lower range 2-4k. The difference in pull is awesome. I think it's just what the cams ordered. I couldn't be happier...well I might be a bit happier when I bore out the intake manifold, but that'll have to wait for now. I'll take it to the testing grounds and see if I can improve on my 15.5 - it was raining tonight so I couldn't test the ~1/4 mile. I've taken tons of pics along the way. Here's what its looking like right now.

I don't have any extra gauges in my car, sorry. Wish I did. They're kind of toward the top of the list, ya know.

Hades, I'm not sure about the Nuespeed bar. I think they're the ones that kind of go along the firewall but I'm not sure. Maybe a picture will help. I laid a 13mm wrench flat on top of the IAC housing(highest point). I made it so the wrench goes straight back and touches the firewall for a perspective effect. Hope this helps.

A little update. The butterfly is machined so perfect that it sticks in the bore of the throttle body when it closes, so I tapped a 1/4-20 hole to use a bolt as an idle set screw. It works great. I was also having a problem where the plate wouldn't close all the way cause there was too much tension on the cable, so I adjusted the cable. Now the idle is perfect. No burst when you step on it and it always returns to 900 pretty much just as fast as the stock one. Here's some pics of the idle set screw.

i think it will work with the spacer, the nuespeed bar sits higher than the jeep TB does so It shouldnt be a prob. The main reason the nuespeed bar wont fit is because it sits on the sensor, not the metal part, but the plastic harness and the wiring and I didnt really want to risk messing up the car for another bar.

Thanks

Um, a bit of bad and good news for the spacer though. I just took a measurement on closing clearance. It looks to be about 4/10ths of an inch clearance - so sorry, a half inch spacer'll make it bump on the stock hood. The good news is that it looks like you could probably modify the hood to make it clear with no problems. Where it hits the hood at 4/10ths of an inch above there is one of those strength channels. You know - they're about 3/4 inch deep bent steel channels that they mold around the hood. You could cut a space in there to make the Jeep TB fit with the 1/2 inch manifold spacer with no problems. So ultimately the answer is, yes you can run the Jeep TB with the spacer.

EDIT - sorry vegas - forgot you had a carbon hood. So you won't have the channels and clearance shouldn't be a problem for you at all. So its just flat out good news for you cause it'll work without any hood modifications. emoji
