What will stock driveshafts handle? Hoping I won't have to deal w/ any of that w/ my near-future upgrades.. sounds pricey.

most people are fine with stage 2's, most even with stage 3's. after that you'd better upgrade. i know armond has broken a lot of axles but he's stage 5 + i guess. the stage 5's are $1899.99. if my monster is able to be built, that's what it will have emoji man i'm hoping so bad

lol, ok, i'll try. although my #'s may not be too accurate, i'll try. if anyone see's that i'm wrong, please correct me. hmmm....if i had to guess off of the top of my head, i'd say somewhere around 350hp at most with stock axles. but i said at most. and it also depends on how you launch it. if your real easy on your launches then you could get away with not having to upgrade for awhile. but if you like to launch it hard a good bit then i'd say to upgrade at about 325hp or so. like i said before though. my #'s may be a little off.

Armond has stage 2 axles. Stock axles will hold up to various amounts of power. I have seen them break on a stock car and I have seen them hold up on a fully modified car. Results vary.

*knock on wood.... that hasnt been a prob for me yet, when i got the car, i did what any kid with too much power would do, cranked the boost all the way and raced everyone in town.... many many 26-28psi runs, never a broken axle... ofcourse, maby it wansnt tuned well and not making the HP it should have been, but... still... stock axles can take a beating... i will get stage 2's when i do run into problems, spending 1900 on axles alone is crrrrrraaazzzzyyy

was there something wrong with the stage 3's? yeah the price is a little bit high but i figure might as well get the stage 5's considering i want reliability, etc. lol, hopefully i'll have the money though, never know.

The stage 2 axle are plenty sufficient after they have gone back to redesign a few times. Armond was constantly breaking the stage 2 axles. He kept sending them back and they would reinforce wherever it was breaking. Broke in new places almost every time. They now look pretty beefy. He has yet to break one of the latest design stage 2 axles. He was able to break the stock axles with the stock motor. He has a very stiff suspension which does not help. I think they will hold up to mot everything people throw at them, I am also on stock axles still. I have broken three in my lifetime. Here is a pic ofmy broken stock axle next to a stage 2 axle.

I think the only difference between stage 2 and 3 is the bigger hubs.

man thats quite a difference. thanks for the pic. i'm sure they hold up well especially on Armonds car. i know you don't drive yours much so..hehe. i think i'll still go with the stage 5's for the hp goals i'm going for. but then again...never know if it'll happen. emoji have to wait and see... i hate waiting
