Hey is this kit really worth $35 that machv sells them for? Also..is it hard to install..i read somewhere that you have to put something in your engine by the intake or something? I don't see how that would relate to shifting..do you just remove the center panel and unscrew the old ones and put the new ones in? I don't see why this kit is so good..or if it even is good..just would like some input..thanks

yes, the stock ones are rubber, which allows your shifter some play when shifting... the solid metal symborski kit stops all play, and makes your shifter "feel" like a shifter... its easier finding the gears, imo.
install is straighforward, mach v even hooks u up w/an install sheet, and pix...

Simple and totally worth it. Takes 15 minutes and your done. Now as far as a tranny shift mod near the intake you are probably thinking of the short shift mod on www.ttiracing.com
