Ebay has them for a fair price. I recently bought a SS one for about $60. It's more of a resonator since it's straight though without any sort of obstruction. It also nicely has the bracket hangars on there as well.
Lastly, I have a very cranky obd-2 98' car, and I have yet to have a CEL related to the downstream O2(after the CAT) with this new, very unobstructive Cat.

You might aswell just gut your current cat for free. Since its bad anyway just gut it and do the resistor mod on the rear o2 sensor to make the CEL go off. Its a really easy mod and again the best part is that its free!!

Thats right, do what OZ_GS says. It will save you money and you will see an increase in performance. I have had a gutted cat for a long time without ever having my CEL light come on. But,if you have your EGR valve blocked off you might get a slight backfire once in a while.
