#35067, "Depressurizing the fuel system?"

I am trying to install my 32lb injectors and the chiltons manual says to depressurize the fuel system. Well I disconnected the electrical harnes started the car and waited for it to die from fuel loss but it did not. It never even lost any fuel pressure WTF. How do I do this cause I know if I do not depressurize the fuel system, when I take off the fuel line to get to the fuel rail I will leak every where?
Thanks for any info,
Patrick

It was the harness under the meatal plate inbetween the two back seats. It is the metal plate with nothing else under it but the harness. My fuel guage did not read after I disconnected it. Oh crap I forgot about the inline with the Hahn kit. How do I stop that one too?

There are 2 covers. If your gauge didn't read after you unplugged the harness, then you disconnected the wrong one, you disconnected the sender. Try the other cover, and don't forget to disconnect the inline. Should depressurize...

Yeah thanks guys I took off the other pannel and started unplugging everything so I got it to shut off. However now I have a bigger problem. I can't get the fuc$ing fuel rail off. I got the main fuel line off but had no clue how to get the actual rail off. There is not very much room to work with at all. Can you guys help me out have you guys taken off your fuel rails to replace injectors. I already installed the 2.72 disk and ring in my s-fmu so this is all I need to run 13psi. Thanks for any help,

there are 2 bolts to the intake manifold. Once they are out, it should be easy enough to remove. There are only 4 injector o-ring seals holding it in place. I don't know the proper method for removing the 2 bolts, but I did it the hard way by removing the engine and throwing in a 2.4... emoji

Are you talking about the two bolts on the braket that is perpendicular to the intake manifold? I will try to take that off now and see if it comes off. Thanks for the thought,
