It's official. I just checked my email and saw that there was a response from www.whipplesuperchargers.com. They said have your guys email us about an interest for a 420A application and we'll source out a test vehicle for production testing.

You know, I would say even if you are turbo you should still tell them your interested. They need to produce this product and we have the numbers here to make that voice heard.

Someone post this on ASOG too.

wow.. people actually being supportive? I'M IN SHOCK!

in case ya couldn't tell.. I'm all for your efforts dude. I'm thinking about modifying Jackson racing's Focus supercharger to work on my zx2. but I gotta figure out how I'm gonna work the belt with the existing system (that's the main problem, foci have a different accessory belt setup then the zx2).

HEY!! Wait..those are not roots superchargers! I just noticed that the link is to whipple industries. They are liscensed to sell the Lysholm Twin Screw supercharger. I know quite a bit on these since my friends 91GT has a Kenne Bell SC which is the same thing(Kenne Bell suses a billet housing vs. the cast housing of the whipple industries SC.)The twin screw is FAR more efficient than a roots SC although similar in only that they are both positive displacement SC's. They are killer street SC's and last forever! My friend has over 30,000 mileson his with just the oil changes they require..no holes in the oil pan. They already have a unit for the PT Cruiser..if you didn't know. Instant boost at 2000 also..maybe be different on your cars. Kenne Bell makes a kit for the Ford Escape...dropped it from a 16.2 to a 14.4!:O This could be very interesting... emoji

Yeah, HKS came out with a kit that would allow both a supercharger and a turbocharger on the old MR2. Worked well, sorta. It worked well as far as making power was concerned, the only issue was tuning that much extra induction, and keeping it in tune long enough to not destroy the motor. I think that with modern tuning techniques, 2 air chargers would be easily possible.

Looks like it sure is 'official'.... I think the motto "If you can't beat em, join em" should be taken into effect....

A SC would be cool, but it just isn't happening in terms of cost.
