alright i keep seeing this ad in mags for this thing and i want to know if it works. its an ignition system and it has before and after numbers on a few nonturbo cars. the lowest gain it has shown is 12 hp. it this thing for real??? it looks legit. anyone know?

I don't think this will work for our cars if I know what your talking about. You'll need a ignition system for a DIS (distributorless ignition system). MSD and Crane make em, and they're really expensive. Our stock ingnition systems are very good already though, so I wouldn't get one until you have major horsies.

Even on cars they make them for they dont work as good as advertised. I've seen two dynos on the jacobs ignition and on both it did NOTHING normally aspirated and kicked in 5hp or so on nitrous. Also browsing through SE-R.net one guy put it on his sentra and had it dyno'd. Again WAY short of their claims. But they have a garuantee so when the guy went to reclaim his cash each time they'd tell him to do this, change that, do this to the spark plug gap, try this timing ect. giving him the run a round. Finally they gave he got his money but was pissed from the BS run a round. Basically it performed like every other $150 ignition yet cost a bunch more and had BS claims.
