Can someone point me in the right direction (if there is one) on aem cam gear installation. Also, I am getting a 60k tuneup this week and was wandering if I should just have them install them when they swap out the timing belt? Would that be the best idea? And does anyone in the KC area know a good place to take my car for the 60k besides satan. I know I should do it myself but I don't really have time. Anyway TIA

i guess this is sorta off topic but do you have aftermarket cams too? cause i've heard it's not good to just install cam gears on factory cams. if i'm wrong someone correct me but that's just what i've heard

If you're going to have someone do the timing belt, then you should also have them install the new gears.

I've heard that the AEM gears 0 degree mark is wrong, so make sure that you tell them to etch the actual 0 degree mark on the AEM gears using the stockers as a reference.

At the 60k maintanence is a perfect time to put them on. Yes the timing mark is slightly off, so check it against the stock sprocket.

Adj. Cam gears on stock cams are fine, no problems. They help on any grind of cam. Stock or otherwise.

You might weant to get stronger bolts just in case.
